Upon returning from Switzerland, where he stayed this week to participate in the World Economic Forum, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia and accompanied by the director of the Hospital Service and University Clinic of Kosovo, Elvir Azizi visited the Dentistry Clinic.
There, in addition to the conversation with the dentists, he was closely informed about the three new services at the University Clinical Center of Dentistry, which are the fixation of prostheses, nitrogen oxide and implantology, which have started in less than a year. He highly appreciated the quality service and the short waiting times of the patients, while he thanked the dentists for their work and commitment.

He also visited the Emergency and the Clinic of Surgery and Orthopedics, to be informed once again about the condition of 13 patients injured by the gas cylinder explosion in Kçic, Mitrovica, whom he had visited last weekend, on the day of the accident.

“Doctors, nurses are doing everything they can and know. Their professionalism and dedication is high and we also saw, as in the University Clinical Center of Dentistry here, order and discipline, but at the same time also patients who showed us directly that they are satisfied with the services they receive and the treatment they enjoy”, said the prime minister.

Prime Minister Kurti’s complete speech:

Together with the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, and with the director of ShSKUK, Elvir Azizin, today we were at the University Clinical Center of Dentistry where we recently saw three new services that have started in less than a year and in particular we witnessed implantology, in which case we talked with the dentists there and thanked them for the work and commitment they are doing, including not only the quality service, but also the very short waiting times of the patients.

Meanwhile, we continued here to the Emergency and then to the Plastic Surgery to see what happened next with those 13 patients who were injured, some slightly and some very seriously, with the explosion of the gas cylinder and who come from the village of Kçiq of Mitrovica. We were informed that one of the patients is already in Sweden, who had third-degree burns on nearly 70% of her body. But we have two more patients who are in Germany, five are here and two are being prepared to be sent abroad through the Ministry of Health.

Doctors, nurses are doing everything they can and know. Their professionalism and dedication is high and we also saw, as in the University Clinical Center of Dentistry here, order and discipline, but at the same time also patients who showed us directly that they are satisfied with the services they receive and the treatment they enjoy.
