The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visited the offices of the Kosovo Statistics Agency today to learn about the Agency’s work in planning and implementing the major population census process, which will begin in April 2024.
Accompanied by the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, the Prime Minister saw closely the technical processes completed by KAS, which play a key role in the organization of the process and its smooth running.
The number of recorders and monitors along with the tablets and equipment needed for recording are already ready. The Prime Minister said that there is no more important process for planning than the census of the population, households and housing and offered full support to KAS so that the census is developed with the necessary accuracy and according to EUROSTAT standards.
The acting KAS, Avni Kastrati, together with the team of KAS directors, informed the Prime Minister about the next steps in the population census process, including the organization of the diaspora census through the e-Kosova platform.
The Prime Minister thanked KAS for their work, dedication and commitment. We stand together in the realization of this great project, the census of the population, households and housing.
