The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, visited the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, where they talked with the acting director Avni Kastrati and the team of directors of this institution.
After the last visit to KAS in December, the Prime Minister had the opportunity to be informed and updated with the work that is being developed in the context of the population census, which starts in April.
We are about two months away from the start of the population census. Accurate statistics are important and necessary for the state, for the development of the country and the proper targeting of the Government’s policies and strategies.
High commitment, energy and will are needed to successfully plan and develop the population census, in a comprehensive and accessible way for all our citizens, from all communities and in each locality.
Prime Minister Kurti reiterated the full support of the Government to KAS, in the realization of the process with the necessary technical standards and conditions, offering and full readiness to help in terms of challenges and different needs.
