Prime Minister Kurti visited the Bishopric of Kosovo, he was welcomed by Bishop Monsignor Dodë Gjergji

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visited the Bishopric of Kosovo, where he was welcomed by the Monsignor of the Bishopric of Kosovo, the Bishop Monsignor Dodë Gjergji and Don Lush Gjergji.

At the meeting, they spoke about the Law on Religious Freedoms, about mutual cooperation, about the Catholic Church’s contribution to peace between people and the unity of people, and about the need to regulate the legal status of the Catholic Church in Kosovo.

Prime Minister Kurti on this occasion thanked the leaders of the Bishopric of Kosovo for their close cooperation, continuous contribution, and their important role.

They also talked about the last visit that Prime Minister Kurti made to the Vatican, where he was hosted by the Holy Father, Pope Francis and the Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Paroli. The Prime Minister shared with the Bishop Monsignor Dodë Gjergji and Don Lush Gjergji his impressions from the visit to the Vatican and from the meeting with His Holiness, Pope Francis.

On June 22, Prime Minister Kurti made his first official visit to the Vatican. In the meeting with His Holiness, Pope Francis, Prime Minister Kurti talked about the youth and the future, about the figure, work and legacy of Mother Teresa, about the Lent of the Year where she received the call for devotion, and about multi-religious coexistence in Kosovo as well as invited him to visit Kosovo.
