During his stay in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, also visited the Nettlefield School, to see closely and in practice the implementation of the “Shared Education” system.

Through this system, which finds application in around 900 schools in Northern Ireland, students from different communities have the opportunity to learn together and interact in different activities that include sport, art and science.

Prime Minister Kurti together with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Disability, Liza Gashi and his advisor for Community Affairs, Elizabeth Gowing, had the opportunity to talk to the students of Nettlefield and St. Mathew’s and hear from teachers and principals about the ways and results schools have achieved in breaking down barriers between communities.
