The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted Monsignor Vincenzo Paglia, Chairman of the Pontifical Academy for Life and Chancellor of the “John Paul II” Institute, together with Mr. Mario Giro, former Deputy Foreign Minister of Italy.
The meeting discussed the potential areas of bilateral cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the Holy See in the Vatican, in the field of culture and cultural heritage.
They talked about the rights and freedoms of citizens, in particular religious freedoms and cultural heritage. It was emphasized that their protection is ensured through the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo and special laws.
It was emphasized that Kosovo is a democratic country, built on the basis of ensuring respect for equal rights and freedoms for all its citizens. Also, that the protection of cultural heritage represents one of the programmatic priorities of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
In this meeting, the cultural wealth of our country was evaluated as a universal value and key to creating social interaction and overcoming the differences between the different communities living in our country.
