The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the First Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, hosted the Special Representative of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the United States for European and Eurasian Affairs and at the same time the special envoy of the United States of America for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar and the foreign policy and security advisors to the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, Mr. Jens Plötner and Mr. Emmanuel Bonne, as well as the deputy diplomatic advisor to the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, Alessandro Cattaneo.

The Prime Minister thanked them for the joint visit. He emphasized that the main priority and urgent issue for the Republic of Kosovo is the security of the state and citizens, borders and territory. After the terrorist and criminal attack of September 24, carried out by paramilitary groups with the sponsorship and participation of Serbia, punishment is crucial for non-repetition.

The meeting discussed the normalization of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia, namely the implementation of the Basic Agreement (Brussels, February 27) and its Implementing Annex (Ohrid, March 18). The Prime Minister emphasized the need for quality reflection and a new approach. All five emissaries offered their new plan for moving forward, for which the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation. Discussions must continue intensively.
