Prime Minister Kurti participates in the opening of the exhibition “National contribution of the Lleshi family” by authors Sadik Krasniqi and Besnik Rraci

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today participated in the opening of the exhibition “Patriotic contribution of the Lleshi family” by the authors Sadik Krasniqi and Besnik Rraci, organized by the National Museum of Kosovo and the Lleshi family.

On the 25th anniversary of the heroic fall of Kola and Mark, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his respect and satisfaction at the opening of the exhibition “Patriotic contribution of the Lleshi family”, which marks the contribution of this family to our uprisings and liberation wars.

“So, four pillars, four martyrs, evidence of the blood shed for freedom and for the liberation of Kosovo, which reminds us and reminds us how great was the price of the freedom we enjoy, of the liberation that was achieved and of the state and our independence, which has its roots precisely in the blood of the martyrs”, said the Prime Minister.

Such notes, according to him, are not only valid for learning history, but also for never losing the way to the bright future that the nation’s martyrs of all wars, especially the last war of the Liberation Army, have enlightened us of Kosovo.

For the opening of this exhibition, Prime Minister Kurti congratulated the Museum of Kosovo, the authors of the exhibition and thanked the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, wishing that we will have more such important records, while he thanked Hana for her perseverance. .

Four martyrs from this family, Mark Tunë Lleshi and Kolë Gjon Lleshi, gave their lives in resistance against the occupier on August 7, 1998, while a few months later, on January 28, 1999, two other martyrs from this family, the brothers Pren and Meme Lleshi.
From this patriotic family, Dede Pashk Lleshi gave his life in 1944 fighting the Serbian occupiers.

Dear mother Hana,
Dear families of the nation’s martyrs,
The honorable uncle Lilë, Halil Krasniqi, the father of the Commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Mujë Krasniqi – ‘Kapuçi’ Commander,
Dear war veterans and invalids,
Dear authors of this exhibition, Mr. Krasniqi and Rraci,
Dear professors and students of the University,
Ladies and gentleman,
Sisters and brothers,

I have the pleasure and honor to be here today with you to see this exhibition, which marks the contribution of the Lleshi family to our uprisings and liberation wars, so today we have the 25th anniversary of the heroic fall of Kola and Mark from the Lleshi family, meanwhile, on January 28 of the next year, we will mark the 25th anniversary of the fall of Prenda and Mema.

So, four pillars, four martyrs, evidence of the blood shed for freedom and for the liberation of Kosovo, which reminds us and reminds us how great was the price of the freedom we enjoy, of the liberation that was achieved and of the state and independence ours that have their roots precisely in the blood of the martyrs.

While Marku and Kola have fallen in the battle in their hometown in Vraniq of Gjakova, Prendi and Mema have fallen in the battle of Godeni and on January 28 of the next year we will mark a quarter of a century since their heroic fall.

I congratulate the Museum of Kosovo, congratulate the authors for this exhibition, thank the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and wish that we will have more records like this, which are very important, not only for learning history, but also for never lose the path to the bright future that the nation’s martyrs of all wars have illuminated for us, and in particular I would emphasize this last war of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

I thank the grandmother Hanë, who makes all of us proud with her resilience, but at the same time encourages and inspires us to stay strong despite the challenges we face in whatever work we do and commit to.
