As part of the activities developed today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, made his next stop in the city of Podujeva, namely in the village of Shamalluk, on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the tourist resort “Iliria Hill”.
As he expressed his happiness and gratitude for being present at the opening ceremony of this resort, the Prime Minister highlighted that this is a great investment for the development of tourism in the municipality of Podujeva.
During his speech, Prime Minister Kurti also spoke about the achievements and investments in various spheres, starting with the road infrastructure, the regulation of public lighting, the extension of the sewage network, and continuing further in the field of health within the framework of in which many services have been digitized and two new clinics have been built, in Lluzhan and Gllamnik. He also mentioned the construction of the City Emergency, one of the most modern facilities in the country. In addition to these, the prime minister emphasized that the issue of housing for over 50 families with severe economic conditions has also been resolved.
Then he also spoke about the capital investments in the field of education, where in 3 years the capital investments have increased 15 times, from 114 thousand euros, they are now over 1.6 million euros, where three schools are being built during these two years of government, in Obranchë, Lluge and Dumosh.
“We have supplied most of the schools with digital boards, laptops, and we have also established the ICT skills development center”, underlined Kurti.
Emphasizing that he is happy that he has visited this project since the time of planning and preparations for construction 3 years ago, he highlighted that this resort has already taken a wonderful shape after the completion and full finalization of the works.

Unlike the two previous speakers, I am unfortunately not from Llapi, but if I can do something to correct this fact, maybe I can get involved. For example coming here, as often as possible, whenever I can.

Dear attendees,
I remember when three years ago, exactly on November 21, 2020, i.e. 3 years and ten days ago, we were together with Mayor Bulliqi on a visit during the beginning of the works of this investment, for which we are gathered here today.
At that time there were not even the foundations, now we have more than the peak.
I am happy and thank you from the bottom of my heart for inviting me to be part of this joint celebration. This resort is a great investment for the development of tourism in the municipality of Podujeva. A good step towards increasing the attractiveness of the area of the beautiful village of Shamalluk and attracting as many visitors as possible. This resort has employed over 50 people, has an area of 3000 square meters, and the value of the Maqani family’s investment is around 2 million euros.
As institutions, together, the municipality and the Government, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, we have built the road infrastructure, and we have regulated public lighting. From the local government for 2022 and 2023, we have over 75 kilometers of paved roads, about 100 kilometers of public lighting and about 50 kilometers of sewage network extension.
In the health sector, many services have been digitized, two new clinics have been built, one in Lluzhan and the other in Gllamnik. The City Emergency is being built, one of the most modern facilities in the country with all the necessary medical equipment.
The issue of housing for over 50 families with severe economic conditions has been resolved.
During these two years, three new schools are being built in Obrança, Lluge and Dumosh. We are also good with new nurseries, we have found a public nursery, we have built three new nurseries, plus two are being built. Capital investments in the field of education have increased 15 times in 3 years, they were 114 thousand euros for one year, now they are over 1.6 million euros. We have supplied most of the schools with digital boards, laptops, and we have also established a center for ICT skills development. We have signed cooperation agreements with local businesses to offer jobs to students related to their field of study.
The chance for change in Llap, Podujeva had shot right when he chose the VETËVENDOSJE Movement! With Professor Shpejtim Bulliqi, as chairman. Exactly three years have passed yesterday since Mayor Bulliqi won the municipality in his first term. In the enthusiasm of that extraordinary election campaign, we were together at the starting point, and we are continuing together in inaugurations and investments.
I am very happy that I visited this project in its beginnings, and even during the planning and preparations three years ago, while now it has taken a wonderful shape after the completion of the works.
There are many jobs and our goal is common. Llapi needs economic development and prosperity for every citizen. I wish success for “Iliria Hill Resort”, and I hope that this place will be a favorite destination for the citizens of our good Republic, for Albanians wherever they are, and for foreign tourists at the same time.
