In celebration of the 111th anniversary of the declaration of Albania’s Independence, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, alongside the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, the Speaker of the Assembly of Albania, Lindita Nikolla and the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, participated in the ceremony state flag raising ceremony and paid homage at the “Flag Square” in Vlora.
Prime Minister Kurti wished all Albanians November 28, this great celebration of the flag of freedom, independence and unity for all Albanians in Albania, in Kosovo, wherever they are in the Balkans, and in exile, in the world.
As he emphasized that today is a day of rest and celebration, he from the city of Vlora said that every other day we must work for the ideals and goals of Skenderbeu from Kruja, Ismail Qemali from Vlora, and Adem Jashari from Prekazi.
“We were here to pay respects in Vlora with the institutional heads of the Albanian state and in the afternoon we will be in Kosovo, to pay homage to the Jasharaj cemetery led by Head Commander Adem Jashari”, said Prime Minister Kurti.
The activities to mark November 28, this fundamental date of the Albanian national identity, Prime Minister Kurti said that they will continue tomorrow.

We were here to pay our respects in Vlora with the institutional heads of the Albanian state and in the afternoon we will be in Kosovo, to pay our respects at the Jasharaj cemetery led by the Head Commander Adem Jashari.
Yesterday we had the day of the Kosovo Army, the Kosovo Security Force, and because we cannot fit all these activities into one day, we will continue tomorrow with various cultural and artistic events in honor of November 28 this fundamental date of the Albanian national identity.
