The next meeting, as part of his participation in the Prespa Forum in Struga, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held with the Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Ambassador Michael Carpenter.
There was a discussion about the situation in the country after the kidnapping by Serbian forces of three police officers within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo and about the commitment of the country’s institutions for de-escalation and full normalization of the situation in the four municipalities in the north of the Republic of Kosovo.
Ambassador Carpenter said that the rule of law must be supported, while he emphasized the request for the immediate and unconditional release of the three Kosovo police officers kidnapped by Serbia.
Regarding the aggressive action of Serbia, Prime Minister Kurti said that this act is a violation of the Constitution, legal order, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, and requested that the aggression be punished by the international factor.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to North Macedonia, Florian Qehaja, was also present at this meeting.
