The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted the Pastor of the Evangelical Protestant Church “Community of God’s People”, Artur Krasniqi, together with other representatives from the Evangelical Church, Arteida Krasniqi and Gani Mehmetaj.
Together they discussed the draft law on religious freedoms, which was positively evaluated by the representatives of the Evangelical Church, as they expressed their regret that this draft law is not being voted on in the Assembly. This happens because the draft law in question must also be voted by 2/3 of the representatives of the communities, as a law of vital interest.
Its vote means the regulation of the status of religious communities in the country, which leads to the full enjoyment of religious freedom which is guaranteed by the Constitution and the European Convention on Human Rights as part of it. The Office of Prime Minister has pushed forward this important draft law, with the aim of protecting all religious communities that live and operate in Kosovo.
