Together with the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti welcomed the Board of Directors of KEK, headed by Skender Haziri. The Chief Executive of KEK, Nagip Krasniqi, was also present at the meeting.
The importance of KEK’s work, especially during the energy crisis, and the challenges this enterprise faces, were two of the topics of this meeting.
Infrastructure and aging power plant technology continue to remain key challenges. Despite this, the Board of Directors informed Prime Minister Kurti about the measures and preparations that KEK has made for the winter period.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked the Board for the work done so far. He said that this winter, in the face of the global energy crisis, will depend a lot on the optimization of the country’s electricity production capacity and the rationalization of electricity spending by public institutions, citizens and businesses. We need both to get through this winter more easily.
