The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted Amina Nuraj, activist of the Albanian national cause in Sanxhak. Together with him was Granit Hyseni, who moved there to study.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti and Ms. Nuraj spoke about the position of Albanians in Serbia, especially in Sanjak, and about their challenges and difficulties. The Prime Minister was informed about the activities of activist Nuraj in the protection and promotion of Albanian culture, identities and tradition and the advocacy of the rights of national minorities in Serbia.
He thanked Ms. Nuraj for her tireless contribution and commitment, and wished good work on the occasion of the opening of the office of the Albanian National Council in Pazari i Ri.
This office opened on Wednesday. Present at the opening ceremony alongside Amina Nuraj was the Chairman of the National Council, Nevzad Lutfiu.
In October last year, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Albanian National Council, with the aim of financial support for the protection and promotion of the rights of Albanians, the preservation and cultivation of the language, art, culture and Albanian identity.
