After the bilateral meeting with the President of Switzerland, Alain Berset, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku, welcomed the Albanian candidates in the 2023 federal elections to the building of the Embassy of Kosovo in Bern. .
In an open conversation, Prime Minister Kurti congratulated them for their public and political engagement in Switzerland, considering it as evidence of the good integration of Albanians there, but also as very important for democracy.
They discussed the relations between Kosovo and Switzerland and the role and potential of cooperation between the Government and the diaspora in the field of economy, education and health.
The Prime Minister informed the attendees of some of the main developments in the country and the government’s priority policies, as the candidates announced more about their electoral themes.
He wished all the candidates success in the election campaign and on election day.
In the October 22 election, there are 30 Albanian candidates from almost every political party competing for seats in the National Council. This is the largest number of Albanian candidates in any elections.
