The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Daulina Osmani, welcomed the President of the International Paralympic Committee, Andrew Parsons, to the meeting. Njomza Emini, President of the Paralympic Committee of Kosovo, also participated.
The central topics of the meeting were the membership of the Paralympic Committee of Kosovo in the International Paralympic Committee, which was achieved in August last year, as well as the participation of our state in the Paralympic Games, Paris 2024, for the first time.
The possibilities for expanding the involvement in sports activities for people with special needs in Kosovo and the creation of the most appropriate conditions for their access to various mechanisms were also discussed.
It was emphasized that the Government’s support and commitment to Persons with Disabilities in general, including the field of sports, continues to remain unwavering.
The year 2022 was also announced as the year of Persons with Disabilities by the Government of Kosovo, where sports and cultural activities were also organized by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, following the activities planned by all institutions.
