Prime Minister Kurti hosted the non-resident ambassador of Japan, Ryuta Mizuuchi

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted the non-resident ambassador of Japan, Ryuta Mizuuchi, with whom he discussed the current developments in the country, and especially the bilateral relations between our two countries.

The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to Japan as an important strategic partner of Kosovo, with whom this month we mark the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. He highly appreciated the assistance and cooperation in the fields related to health, environment, infrastructure, youth and security. “With Japan, we are partners in terms of views and values”, emphasized the Prime Minister.

Speaking about economic and trade relations, the prime minister invited Japanese companies to visit Kosovo and explore the investment opportunities offered by Kosovo, especially in the renewable energy and infrastructure sector. Alongside the companies, Prime Minister Kurti said that Kosovo is interested in welcoming as many tourists from Japan as possible to visit Kosovo for its natural beauty and cultural assets.

In the context of recent developments and current topics, the prime minister also informed the Japanese ambassador about the issue of the new Central Bank Regulation on Cash Operations, the goals of this regulation, the independence of the Central Bank institution and the transitional phase, which mainly focuses on information and communication with the public.

Ambassador Mizuuchi thanked Prime Minister Kurti for the hospitality, meeting and cooperation, confirming the willingness and interest in further deepening and strengthening of relations between Kosovo and Japan
