Prime Minister Kurti hosted the head of the UNICEF office in Kosovo, Nona Zicherman, in a farewell meeting

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received the head of the UNICEF office in Kosovo, Nona Zicherman, today in a farewell meeting.

During this meeting, Prime Minister Kurti appreciated UNICEF’s continuous support in joint efforts for social development and thanked the head of the office, Zicherman, for her important work during the mission in Kosovo, especially in the field of education.

Speaking about governance, the prime minister emphasized his and the cabinet of ministers’ commitment to an equal society, promotion of human rights and non-majority communities, comprehensive development and quality education.

While discussing the measures and reforms undertaken by the Government, the Prime Minister mentioned the success of the “SuperPuna” platform with the employment of 10,000 young men and women in the age group of 18-25 years old, which from February of this year has also been extended to young people up to the age of 29 years.

The good cooperation between the ministries and UNICEF was also considered as a key element in the realization of the Government’s priorities and joint projects.

This type of close cooperation, it was said, will continue to be realized also with the incoming new chief who is expected to start the mission in June of this year.
