After numerous meetings in Strasbourg with leaders and members of the European Parliament, where the democratic progress of Kosovo was highly appreciated, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, one day before the next high-level political meeting in the framework of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia hosted in Pristina the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the United States for European and Eurasian Affairs and at the same time the special envoy of the United States of America for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar. Together with Mr. Escobar and his team at the meeting was also the deputy ambassador of the USA in Kosovo, Alyson Grunder.
It was discussed about tomorrow’s meeting in Ohrid, North Macedonia for the normalization of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia based on the European proposal, the preparations around it and the expectations from that meeting.
He thanked Mr. Escobar for his and the United States of America’s commitment and contribution to the dialogue.
The European proposal has been qualified and accepted by Kosovo as a good basis and a solid platform to move forward towards the full normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, with mutual recognition at the center. Dedicated, constructive and creative, the Kosovo government delegation travels to Ohrid with good will, good intentions and good faith.
