After a long journey of the existence of the KPK, in the second half of 2023 the KPK became a full member of the International Paralympic Committee and the European Paralympic Committee. This success is also the result of the increase in financial support of the KPK in 2022 on the occasion of the year of disabled people. Compared to the previous year (2021), the KPK budget in 2022 had increased by six times more and this support has continued in 2023 as well.

The representatives of the Paralympic Committee of Kosovo thanked the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports for the support they are giving to sports in general.

In the Paralympic Games Paris 2024, Kosovo will participate with two para-athletes in the sport of athletics: Grevist Bytyçi – running, Vjollca Hoxha – running with a wheelchair. They are licensed to participate in these games and will compete in several qualifying events for the Paralympic standard, in order to gain the necessary experience and prepare as well as possible.

For the preparation of these athletes and their coaches to represent Kosovo in Paris 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has signed a special Memorandum of Cooperation with the Paralympic Committee of Kosovo, worth over 40 thousand euros.
