Prime Minister Kurti continued the conversation with business representatives, today he met producers and entrepreneurs of the metal sector

Following the meetings that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has been holding with entrepreneurs from various sectors since yesterday, today after the meeting with businesses from the plastic sector to identify the necessary profiles, there was also a conversation with manufacturers and entrepreneurs of the metal sector in our country.

Welcoming him, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his satisfaction that they will discuss the main project of socio-economic transformation in our country within the framework of the government program, which is the dual system of education, i.e. the connection of education and professional training with the labor market, respectively with the needs of planning for the private sector.
The aim of the Government, as the Prime Minister pointed out, is to reduce the cost that these businesses pay for the training and training of the workforce.

The Prime Minister emphasized that they are committed to, as the Executive Committee of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, to give the maximum in cooperation with the economic and commercial organizations, with the sectoral associations and with the enterprises active for dual education, which has started the piloting in the school year 2022/2023, in four professional schools, in three municipalities, in four profiles.

After Prime Minister Kurti’s speech, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, said that thanks to your pro-active commitment, economic, social and environmental development and the transformation of our economy have been helped. She further added that Education and Vocational Training are very important for economic development and the growth of quality employment in our country, estimating that there is a gap between education and market requirements for qualified workers and that industrial policy together with educational policies must address this gap and for this she said we are constantly working.

Even the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, thanked those present for the opportunity they have given to students in their companies, mentioning that this year they started with metalworking profiles, in Klina, Ferizaj and Prizren, as she said with the belief that next year we will have even more municipalities that will have the same profile.

We remind you that last year, for the first time, the piloting of dual education began in four professional schools, in four programs with a total of 107 students. This year it is expected that there will be at least 800 more students involved in dual education programs in 21 schools, 13 municipalities and 12 profiles.
