The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Minister Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his thanks and gratitude for the reception received in Pristina during his visit at the beginning of April and said that he is working on advancing and strengthening relations between the state of Kosovo and the United Arab Emirates.
The Prime Minister thanked him for the phone call and for the previous visit to Kosovo, which contributed to the deepening of relations between the two countries.
The Prime Minister informed him about the progress of Kosovo in the last two years in the economy and the work to create a favorable climate for investments. Regarding the situation in the three municipalities in the north of the country, the Prime Minister informed about the election process that led to the election of four new mayors, the boycott of the elections by the Kosovo Serbs at the request and pressure of Serbia and the acceptance of this process and the election result from the international community.
He said that the escalation came as a result of the forceful obstruction of the entry into their workplaces of new leaders and violence by fascist groups that are on the payroll of Serbia and private companies of persons sanctioned by the United States of America and Great Britain.
He added that the first step for de-escalation is the immediate end of violence against security institutions, the arrest of those who caused violence and the implementation of the Basic Agreement until new elections.
