Bilateral relations and special relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States of America were re-emphasized in the meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and American Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Chris Van Hollen.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked Senators Shaheen and Van Hollen for their and the USA’s continued help, support and interest in Kosovo. They talked about the progress made in the rule of law, fight against corruption, democratization of institutions and economic development.
The meeting discussed the security situation in the Western Balkans and the latest developments in the region. Regarding the dialogue for full normalization of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia and the European proposal, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the constructive and continuous engagement of Kosovo in this process.
