Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi: We are continuously witnessing the will and commitment of Kosovo in the advancement of the European agenda

During his stay in Brussels, the first deputy prime minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, held a discussion with representatives from the Security Policy Committee (PSC), where ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic missions of the member states were present and from the EU.

In this conversation, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi presented the European perspective of Kosovo, our dedication and commitment to the implementation of reforms and the fulfillment of criteria.

He reiterated that Kosovo welcomes the initiative of the EU Commission for the new expansion plan presented by the President of the Commission, Mrs. Von Der Leyen, as well as the expectations of the EU Council, represented by the President of the Council, Mr. Michel, for the expansion to be achieved by 2030.

Last year was the European year for the country where it achieved visa liberalization and applied for membership in the Council of Europe and for membership in the EU. Combined with the growth that the country experienced in economic development, and the proven success in international rankings in areas such as the rule of law, the fight against corruption, media freedom, the will and commitment of the Republic of Kosovo in advancing the European agenda was demonstrated.

Our country proved that it is performing positively in various indicators beyond the barriers and obstacles that our country has faced.

Regarding the current situation, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi said that on September 24, Serbia orchestrated an act of aggression against the Republic of Kosovo, where the Police Sergeant, now the Hero of Kosovo, Afrim Bunjaku, was killed.

The facts of the involvement of the institutions of Serbia are numerous, from the presence and organization of the aggression by Milan Radojçiq, the presence of the bodyguard of the head of the BIA, Vulin, to the tool found and confiscated in the ownership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia. Certification given by the Serbian army for heavy weapons equipment, harboring terrorists in Serbia and glorifying them.

Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi informed the participants about the dialogue process and the last high-level meeting held on September 14.
