The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted a delegation from the International Monetary Fund, led by the new head of this mission for Kosovo, Sebastian Sosa, and where the former, Gabriel di Bella, was also present.
In the meeting, the fruitful and excellent cooperation with the IMF and its continuity were emphasized. The IMF highly appreciated the performance of Kosovo’s institutions regarding reforms related to the agreements between Kosovo and the IMF.
We are currently working intensively and closely with the relevant institutions regarding energy projects, with special emphasis on renewable energy. The positive results and performance of Kosovo in the main macroeconomic indicators were also discussed, where it is expected that the trend will continue to be positive, in comparison with other countries in the region.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked the delegation for the cooperation and the always fruitful conversations, underlining the importance of continuing the work on capacity building, which will reflect in a sustainable economic development.
