Government Coordination Secretariat (GCS)

Assists the policy development process by reviewing Concept Documents and decisions which are submitted together with explanatory memoranda to the Government. GCS verifies their compliance with Government policies, evaluates the quality of policy analysis, and identifies issues in which efforts should be made to resolve contradictions between ministries and proposes their (non) approval by the Government.

Coordinates the work of the ministries in the implementation of the Government Program and other main planning documents by the drafting of the National Development Plan (NDP). GCS monitors the implementation of this plan by collecting data and drafting up analyses on quarterly and annual basis. GCS ensures that all the materials sent to the Government for approval and the materials sent to the Assembly are prepared in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Government, keeps the minutes of the Government meetings, prepares the complete transcript and preserves them.

The Government Coordinating Secretariat consists of five divisions:
