The visit to Poland continued with the next meeting of the First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, with the Minister of State for Europe and Climate at the German Foreign Ministry, Anna Lührmann.
The parties discussed a number of topics, from Kosovo’s journey towards European integration to the situation in the region. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized the steps that Kosovo has taken in the European integration process, especially the application for EU membership in December 2022. He also added the high level of institutional readiness that the country has shown with the Growth Plan and the reform agenda. He also underlined the importance of Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe. He also mentioned the need to lift the measures against Kosovo, which continue to be unjust and should be lifted as soon as possible. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked Minister Lührmann for today’s meeting and conversation in Warsaw, appreciating and expressing gratitude for the partnership and close relations between Kosovo and Germany.
