Prime Minister Kurti met US congresswomen and congressmen, Pelosi, Tenney, Wagner, Turner, Guthrie, Meeks and Himes

In addition to the American senators, in Munich, during the participation in the Security Conference there, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla Schwarz, also met American congressmen.

With Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, former Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Congresswomen Claudia Tenney and Ann Wagner and Congressmen Mike Turner, Brett Guthrie, Jim Himes and Gregory Meeks, Prime Minister Kurti spoke about bilateral relations and partnership, economic and democratic progress marked during our government, the success of Kosovo on the eve of the 16th anniversary of its Independence and the special role that the United States of America has played before, during and after the declaration of independence.

As a success story of the NATO intervention in the spring of 1999, led by the United States of America, Kosovo today aims for NATO membership, not only to benefit from it but also to contribute to this alliance, said the prime minister. He mentioned the successful joint landing of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) with the US Army Iowa National Guard in Kuwait and said that more such collaborations are welcome.

The United States of America is an irreplaceable ally and partner of Kosovo, said the Prime Minister.

Further, the dialogue process in Brussels, the relations between Kosovo and Serbia and the regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo were also discussed. The Prime Minister said that Kosovo and Serbia have an agreement, the Basic Agreement and its Annex, but which has been repeatedly violated by Serbia, while despite his insistence to sign it, Serbia has consistently refused to do so.
