On the eve of the change of weather, on the last day of 2023, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla and the Director General of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, visited the families of two heroes of Kosovo, Afrim Bunjaku and Enver Zymeri.

He started his visit in Samadrexha to the Bunjaku family, accompanied by Enver Zymer’s son, Sokoli. There Prime Minister Kurti once again expressed his deep gratitude for the sacrifice and contribution of the police sergeant, our hero Afrim, his wife Lumnija, daughter Arbenita and two sons Fatlum and Jetlum, sister Fexhrija and other relatives.

From there, accompanied by Afrim Bunjaku’s two sons, Fatlum and Jetlum, they visited Enver Zymer’s family, where they were welcomed by brother Egzoni, wife Drita, son Sokoli, daughters Luljeta and Rinesa, aunt Ramadani and many others.

I remember Enver twice, said the prime minister, once for his service and sacrifice and another time for Baca Reme, his father, Muharrem, my fellow prisoner, with whom I shared the same cell for a year, in prison in Serbia, who passed away two years ago.

“The end-of-year holidays would be more complete with the arrival of Enver, but we never forget them, because they are the proud history of our Republic”, said Prime Minister Kurti.
Kosovo police officers, Afrim Bunjaku and Enver Zymeri, were in charge of the rule of law, territorial integrity and state sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo.
