The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today paid tribute to the graves of three activists committed to the freedom of Kosovo: Hyzri Talla, a fighter of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Afrim Maliqi – journalist, essayist and poet, as well as Ilir Durmishi, a prominent soldier of the KLA, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of their murder.
“To remember these three martyrs who 25 years ago were killed while paving the road to Kosovo’s freedom and at the same time walking through it, today we paid homage to the place where they fell, in the Bregu i Dielli neighborhood in Pristina” , said the prime minister.
Hyzri Talla, Afrim Maliqi and Ilir Durmishi fell martyrs for the liberation of Kosovo, engaged with their whole being for the freedom that us, the living, and the generations that follow, live and enjoy, he added.
During the tributes, Prime Minister Kurti also met family members and fellow soldiers of Hyzri, Afrim and Iliri, who proudly remembered and honored their work.
