Accompanied by the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed to the meeting the Regional Director of the European Bank for Development and Reconstruction, Matteo Colangeli together with the current director of this institution in Kosovo, Neil Taylor and the new director, Sergiy Maslichenko.
They discussed the cooperation so far, the projects that are being implemented with the support of the EBRD, as well as new opportunities for cooperation. During the meeting, the Prime Minister thanked the current Director in Kosovo, Neil Taylor, for his close cooperation and wished him success in his next engagement, while welcoming Mr. Maslichenko.
The prime minister particularly highlighted projects such as the rehabilitation of the railway, namely for signaling and telecommunications within it, the waste water treatment plants in Gjilan and Mitrovica, and the energy efficiency projects with the municipalities of Pristina and Prizren, for which projects the Government of Kosovo is cooperating with the EBRD.
Mr. Colangeli, on behalf of the EBRD, expressed his willingness to support the government in various projects, with emphasis on those in the field of renewable energy (wind and solar energy), energy efficiency and the private sector.
Prime Minister Kurti, during the participation in the Security Conference in Munich, this past weekend, had met the President of the EBRD, Odile Basso.
