In Vienna, Prime Minister Kurti met the heads of the Austrian Post, IV, Raiffeisenbank and Kapsch AG

As part of his participation as main speaker at the Vienna Economic Forum, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, had separate meetings with the Director of Courier and Logistics of the Austrian Post, at the same time a member of the Austrian Post Board, Peter Umundum, The Chief Executive Officer of Raiffeisenbank International, Johann Strobl, the President of the Industriellenvereinigung (IV), Georg Knill, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of Kapsch AG, Georg Kapsch.

The development of the postal sector in Kosovo was at the center of Prime Minister Kurti’s meeting with Mr. Peter Umundum, Director of Colipost and Logistics of the Austrian Post and member of the Austrian Post Board. The commitment towards the modernization of services as well as the opportunities for cooperation in the field of digitization and electronic services were emphasized.
With the President of the Industriellenvereinigung (IV), Georg Knill, Prime Minister Kurti spoke about the possibilities for closer cooperation between the Austrian industry and that of Kosovo, as well as the potential of diaspora, as a bridge between the two countries.

Speaking about investment opportunities in Kosovo, in separate meetings with the CEO of Raiffeisenbank International, Johann Strobl, as well as the CEO of Kapsch AG, Georg Kapsch, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that in addition to the geographical position and institutional stability, the Republic of Kosovo offers a favorable environment for investment. He singled out the economic growth, the low public debt, the young, creative and talented population, as well as the stable fiscal policy.

In these meetings, the sustainable reasons for investment in Kosovo were emphasized, as well as the opportunities for increasing the economic cooperation between Kosovo and Austria, especially for the information technology and finance sector.
