Marking 29 August, Martyrs’ Day of Han i Elezit, Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with former KLA Commander and Member of Parliament Rufki Suma, former political prisoners Riza Xhakli and Valon Berisha, Members of Parliament Jeton Raka and Valon Ramadani, Chair of the Vetëvendosje Movement Centre, Dr Mirsad Shkreta, as well as colleagues and associates, paid tribute at the martyrs’ memorial complex in Puset e Nikës.
“The blood of the martyrs lies in the foundations of the Republic; therefore, it is the duty and obligation of all of us who enjoy a free and independent Kosovo to strengthen and develop the state for which generations of Albanians have contributed and sacrificed themselves,” said the Prime Minister.
Glory to the 15 martyrs of this municipality and of the nation as a whole! Honour to the freedom fighters!
