The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visited the festival of traditional art and culture “Etno Fest” in the village of Kukaj in the municipality of Prishtina, which in its sixteenth edition is being held under the theme “Memory”.
Accompanied by associates, the Prime Minister attended the performance “(Un)Closed Prison District”, by the author Enver Dugolli, a narrative beyond personal memories, as evidence of a difficult time, of the suffering of Albanian political prisoners in Serbian prisons, of systematic violence, of resistance and survival. Directed by Yll Berisha, dramatized by Alban Beqiraj and powerfully performed by Afrim Muçaj and Artan Geca, the play brings historical testimony to the stage through documentary theater, turning memory into a responsibility not to forget.
Prime Minister Kurti also visited numerous exhibitions and installations, including works by Ferid Morina, Burim Muftiu, Ridvan Slivove, Gazmend Çitaku, Mentor Berisha, Arben Shala, Butrint Morina, Qamil Shahinaj, Berat Hasani and Doruntina Bytyqi, as well as installations by Reporting House, which through art, photography and documentary objects bring us back to individual and collective memory.
