Sveti Stefan, 22 October, 2026
On the sidelines of the Berlin Process Summit taking place in Sveti Stefan, Montenegro, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the French Minister Delegate for Europe, Benjamin Haddad.
At this meeting, following the one in Pristina in July, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that the partnership with France is bringing concrete results and opening new opportunities for cooperation, as he unveiled plans for a visit to Paris for the Peace Forum in November.
Prime Minister Kurti noted that, following the signing of five agreements and instruments during Minister Haddad’s visit to Kosovo, work is now underway on their implementation, with the aim of advancing cooperation in the fields of justice, education, and sports.
“The ratification by the Assembly this month of a 60-million-euro loan for infrastructure for the 2030 Mediterranean Games is a concrete outcome of this partnership. We also discussed political dynamics in the Western Balkans region, emphasizing that peace and security are closely linked to democracy, the rule of law, and European integration,” the Prime Minister stated. France’s support remains important for Kosovo’s progress toward membership in the Council of Europe and the European Union.
