The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the political representatives of the Albanians from Presheva, Bujanoc and Medvegja.
The meeting was attended by Shaip Kamberi of the PVD, Visar Memeti of the APN, Shqiprim Musliu of the LPD, Sami Salihu of LR, Armend Aliu of AL, Sali Salihu of PD, Agim Sabedini of PDSH, and Naser Aziri of UDSH. Also present were Ardita Sinani, Mayor of the Municipality of Presheva; Arbër Pajaziti, Mayor of the Municipality of Bujanoc; Enkel Rexhepi, Chair of the Albanian National Council; and Arben Ferati from Medvegja.
“The meeting was an opportunity to hear their views and discuss the challenges faced by Albanians in the Valley, as well as the importance of political coordination in protecting their rights and strengthening their representation, particularly parliamentary representation. Albanians in the Valley need cooperation and shared responsibility. Political differences are part of democracy, but the interests of citizens should be the common ground for everyone’s engagement,” said the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that, for the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, support for the Albanians of Presheva, Bujanoc and Medvegja remains an ongoing commitment. He added that he will stand by them in protecting their rights, preserving their identity, and improving their everyday lives.
