Today, on 16 July 2026, the Director of the Office for Public Property Administration within the Office of the Prime Minister, Ms. Albana Shala Bunjaku, and the Acting Executive Director of the Kosovo Cadastral Agency, Mr. Faik Kelmendi, held a working meeting aimed at presenting the Public Immovable Property Module within the Kosovo Geoportal.
During the meeting, the functionalities of the module were presented. The module will serve as the central platform for publishing data on public immovable property, in accordance with the requirements of the Law on Public Property.
It was emphasized that accurate and timely reporting of data by all public institutions is an essential prerequisite for the sustainable functioning of the Unified Public Property Register, guaranteeing transparency, legal certainty, and more efficient management of public property in the Republic of Kosovo.
As part of the discussions, it was identified that in several municipalities and central-level institutions there are still inconsistencies in the naming of institutions, as well as discrepancies between the graphical and textual components of records, which complicate the establishment of a unified and accurate register.
For this reason, the Office for Public Property Administration and the Kosovo Cadastral Agency call upon all public institutions to intensify inter-institutional cooperation by:
- reporting, in a timely and comprehensive manner, data on public property to the Office for Public Property Administration; and
- finalizing the process of harmonizing institutional names within the Kosovo Cadastral Agency, with the aim of ensuring accurate and standardized records of public property.
This cooperation represents an important step towards the completion of the Unified Public Property Register and the strengthening of transparent, accountable, and efficient administration of public property in the Republic of Kosovo.
