Following the inauguration of the 42-kilometer Zhur-Brod road, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu and Deputy Ministers Hysen Durmishi and Jeton Raka, inaugurated the Prizren-Prevalla road in the Municipality of Prizren.
With a length of 26 kilometers and consisting of two lots, the construction of this road cost 15.7 million Euro. It facilitates easier and faster movement of goods and people and will also contribute to the development of tourism in this area, known for its natural beauty.
During the inauguration, the Prime Minister emphasized that the completion of this road has been long-awaited and now offers an excellent opportunity for tourism, economic development and a better quality of life for residents. He thanked the workers and economic operators for their efforts, congratulated all the residents of the Prizren region on the new road and encouraged tourists to visit these beautiful parts of our country.
Minister Aliu also highlighted the economic significance and tourism potential of this road, which makes the Sharr National Park, specifically the area where both winter and summer mountain tourism are increasingly developing, more accessible.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Durmishi noted that today they inaugurated 42 kilometers of the Zhur-Brod road, 26 kilometers of the Prizren-Prevalla road and two years ago, the road from Gerlica to the ski center in Prevalla, which is 35 kilometers long. He further added that, in total, over 100 kilometers of roads have been invested in this area alone, which will develop the region and be significant for all the residents living in these areas, as well as for tourists wishing to visit this part of our country.
In addition to the Prime Minister, Minister and Deputy Ministers, the inauguration was also attended by two deputies of the Assembly of the Republic, from the Prizren Region, Artan Abrashi and Arbër Rexhaj.
