The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti together with the Minister for Return and Communities, Nenad Rashiq, is in Hamburg to visit the port of this city, at the invitation of the Special Representative of Germany for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin. The purpose of the visit is to closely examine the X-Ray Cargo Scanning System at the Port of Hamburg.
This visit is part of the ongoing work of the Government of Kosovo to strengthen border security to prevent smuggling and threats coming from abroad. A mobile X-ray scanning system helps monitor large trucks crossing the border, thus guaranteeing a higher level of security without impeding trade.
Germany has expressed its desire to support Kosovo in improving security. The Prime Minister spoke with the Special Representative of Germany, Manuel Sarrazin, about the conditions under which the German government can provide us with such a scanner.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the continuous support of the German government, including in the field of security.
