The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held the meeting of the Security Council of Kosovo, regarding the situation created in the north of the country and the recent incidents caused by illegal structures and criminal groups, coordinated and supported by the Government of Serbia, and which with all available means are acting against the Constitutional Order of the Republic of Kosovo.
It was said that this threat and these actions come as a result of close coordination between the Government of Serbia and illegal structures and criminal groups, which is also spreading propaganda.
Illegal structures as well as criminal groups are continuing to commit extremist acts against citizens of the Republic, state institutions, members of the Kosovo Police, journalists, members of the EULEX mission and KFOR patrolling units.
It was emphasized that within these 17 days since the barricades were erected, there has been continuous communication with KFOR.
Also, it was reiterated that the Kosovo Police has all the capacities and readiness to act, but as is already known, we are waiting for actions from KFOR.
It was said that the Government and the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo cannot dialogue with criminal gangs, while it was emphasized that freedom of movement should be restored and that there should not be barricades on any road.
