The International Day of Enforced Disappeared Persons is marked

Under the auspices of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, the Governmental Commission for Missing Persons and the Coordinating Council of the Family Associations of the Disappeared of Kosovo, the International Day of Violently Disappeared Persons was marked.

President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci , the Minister of Industry, Enterprise and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari and the Deputy Minister of Justice, Vigan Qorrolli, paid tribute and placed flowers at the memorial dedicated to those who disappeared violently during the war in Kosovo.

Joint tributes were paid to the families of the missing, the Coordinating Council of Family Associations of the Disappeared in Kosovo, the Governmental Commission for Missing Persons and other local and international organizations.

The Chairman of the Governmental Commission for Missing Persons, Andin Hoti, emphasized the lack of cooperation on the part of Serbia and the necessity of the engagement of the international factor for the implementation of the Declaration adopted for the persons disappeared by violence during the war. He reiterated the dedication and commitment of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, for the truth, for the fate and location of all those forcibly disappeared during the war in Kosovo.
