Zveçan, 25 November 2024

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla and the General Director of the Police, Gazmend Hoxha, this morning laid the foundation stone of the police substation in the village of Izvor, Municipality of Zveçan, two kilometers from the border with Serbia.

The value of the project is around 700 thousand euros. This new substation, which will provide suitable working conditions for police officers, will serve the border police, whose mandate is to protect and secure the border and prevent illegal cross-border activities.

On Friday of the week we are leaving behind, the cornerstone of the police substation at the Bistrica River Bridge was laid, and intensive work is underway on the construction of the Police and ARC facility in Leshak, where we laid the cornerstone a month ago. All these investments are being made with the aim of ensuring dignified working conditions for our police officers who serve in this area and building capacities to provide security for our country.
