Kaçanik, 28 December 2024

After laying the foundation stone for the new Municipality building in Shtime, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Arberie Nagavci, continued to the Municipality of Kacanik to lay the foundation stone for the new kindergarten in Reke-Vate.

Prime Minister Kurti congratulated the citizens of Kacanik on the foundation stone of this kindergarten, the contract for which was signed on 18 November this year and represents a full investment by the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation, amounting to over 1 million EUR.

“It will span 740 square meters for 40 children, and in this way, the children will receive early education, while parents, especially mothers, will have more time for themselves. At the same time, the children will be much better prepared when they go to school,” said Prime Minister Kurti.

The Minister of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Arberie Nagavci, stated that during this governing mandate, over 2.6 million euros have been invested in Kacanik by MESTI alone, including the construction of this kindergarten, the school in Doganaj, and equipping schools with cabinets, laboratories, and physical education equipment.

“So far, Kacanik has had one kindergarten, and this second one is expected to be completed within a year, while another kindergarten is also in process, for which all administrative procedures have already begun,” she further added.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Kurti noted that the Government is focused on building kindergartens throughout Kosovo, where with a total investment of over 37 million euros, the number of children attending kindergartens in Kosovo has increased by about 33 percent.

“We are focused across Kosovo, approximately 65 kindergartens so far. It is a total investment by our Government of over 37 million euros, and it should be emphasized that over these four years, the number of children attending kindergartens in Kosovo has increased by about 33 percent, from around 5,500 children previously to nearing 7,500 children,” concluded Prime Minister Kurti.

He congratulated the citizens of the Municipality of Kacanik, its Mayor Besim Ilazi, Minister Nagavci, and Deputy Ministers Jeton Raka and Arsim Ademi on this shared achievement.

Prime Minister Kurti’s full statement:

We are here together with the Minister of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Arberie Nagavci, as well as the Mayor of the Municipality of Kacanik, Besim Ilazi, along with members of the Assembly of the Republic, colleagues from the Government, and Deputy Ministers Jeton Raka and Arsim Ademi, to jointly congratulate the citizens of Kacanik on the foundation stone of this kindergarten, which has been planned at a cost of slightly more than one million euros.

It will span 740 square meters for 40 children, and in this way, children will receive early education while parents, especially mothers, will have more time for themselves. At the same time, children will be much better prepared when they go to school, which is naturally a joy for both mothers and fathers, as everyone wants their children to learn as well and as much as possible, and this greatly depends on early education.

Thus, this kindergarten will cost around one million euros. We are focused across Kosovo, with approximately 65 kindergartens so far. It is a total investment by our Government of over 37 million euros, and it should be emphasized that over these four years, the number of children attending kindergartens in Kosovo has increased by about 33 percent, from around 5,500 children previously to nearing 7,500 children.

Once again, congratulations to the Mayor, congratulations to the Minister, and congratulations to everyone on this shared achievement.
