Prime Minister Kurti’s speech in the village of Dumosh in Podujeva:

I am very honored to be here with the Mayor of the municipality Shpejtim Bulliqi, I am with the school director and I am with the mother of our martyr Ali Ajeti, Mrs. Vahide, to lay the foundation of the new school in the village of Dumosh, which will to have 8 classrooms and these 138 students will have the new school, and this school can function for up to 170 students.

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo supports the Municipality of Podujeva and the neighboring municipalities of Kosovo because education is the foundation of economic progress, but also of a bright state and national future.
Within two years, we have increased the state budget for education by 26%, we have greatly increased the number of scholarships for students from the communities, and for students, especially for girls, for those who study in STEM fields, i.e. science, technology, engineering and mathematics. We have over 1,300 scholarships for the 2021/2022 school year, and this year we have added another 2,000 scholarships worth two million euros.

So, education is a priority for us and let me congratulate the Municipality of Podujeva, which also considers education a priority for the little Llapians who will light up Llap by learning here and working for it.

Thank you very much.

Pronunciation of the Prime Minister in Podujevë:

I am very happy to be here today at the laying of the foundation for a daycare center for children, which, as Mayor Bulliqi said, will have 1400 m2, it will be a daycare center with an investment of nearly 700,000 euros and this is the second daycare center since Shpejtimi is the mayor, while in two decades before that there was only one daycare center in all of Podujeva, now there are two daycare centers in the city as well as several daycare centers in the villages, such as Lluzhani and Kërpimehu.

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo prioritizes education and we believe that early education is very important, that is why we must have as many nurseries as possible for children so that when they start elementary school they are as well prepared as possible.

Specifically, 150 children will be able to be in this new nursery, 7 rooms for children’s stay and 3 bedrooms for children. Then there is space for the kitchen, dining room, doctor’s room, psychologist’s room, administration and technical space. A total of 15 will be employed, 10 educators and 5 administrative staff. In general, four new nurseries were built in 2021/2022, 14 new nurseries are being implemented in Kosovo, 5 adaptations, and 17 more nurseries and 5 adaptations of schools and kindergartens are being planned.

I thank the mayor once again, I thank the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, and especially the workers who will build us this nursery with such a large area and how beautiful it will look, of course it was seen in that the banner at the entrance of these works where I believe we will return when we inaugurate the operation.

Thank you and congratulations to all.
