Dear Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and Deputy Ministers,
In the weekend that we are leaving behind, we realized that one of the most notorious people from the world of crime, who last week was finally sentenced by the court to 25 years in prison for the murder of Triumf Riza, the Kosovo policeman, has escaped.
Everyone who has known Triumfi unanimously describes him as an incomparable professional, skilled in his duties and very humane with citizens. I have also met Triumf and I have the same impression.
The escape of the person responsible for his murder, Enver Sekiraqa, is a failure of our judicial system, which continues to escape from justice itself. The situation becomes even more serious when these cases no longer constitute an exception, they no longer look like coincidences.
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo is committed every day to include all citizens, from all communities without distinction, in the institutional life, economic development, and social justice of our common Republic. Establishing law and order is a necessary condition for achieving this goal. We don’t do this against anyone in particular, we always do this for everyone. For the public interest in the democratic Republic.
The rule of law and the rule of law are and should be the goal and commitment of the state, with a good judiciary, which makes justice and the law synonymous in the impression of the citizens and the good society.
Police killers in freedom is the utmost injustice. Justice reform, which was once a necessity, is now an emergency. Institutional emergency. State emergency. National emergency.
Thank you.
