The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed the Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia, Afrim Gashi.
Initially, Prime Minister Kurti and Speaker Gashi held a tête-à-tête meeting, which was then followed by a bilateral meeting between the two delegations.
During the bilateral meeting of the delegations, the necessity of cooperation and interaction between the two respective assemblies was discussed, and the possibility of support from the Parliament of North Macedonia towards Kosovo in forums and meetings where Kosovo is not present or represented. The Prime Minister highlighted the need for the ratification of all agreements arising from bilateral cooperation, including those of the Berlin Process, in the optimal timeframe. The added value of the protocol and two memoranda of understanding that the Government of Kosovo and the Government of North Macedonia signed at the second joint meeting, which was held on November 18 in Pristina, was also emphasized, as well as the intensification of work on the implementation of infrastructure projects connecting the two countries.
The Prime Minister thanked Speaker Gashi for the visit and said that parliamentary cooperation helps in the further growth and expansion of bilateral relations between Kosovo and North Macedonia.
