In the wake of the meetings and activities, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed the students, professors and leaders of the Faculty of Contemporary Social Sciences at the University of Southeast Europe from the Republic of North Macedonia.
The latter, while in Kosovo for a traditional study visit, were informed by the prime minister about the most relevant and current issues related to the country. During the conversation, the visible improvements in the fight against corruption, the rule of law, civil liberties and the development of democracy in Kosovo were highlighted. The Prime Minister pointed out that all these progress are evidenced by the international reports of Transparency International, World Justice Project, Freedom House and Reporters without Borders.
At the same time, the economic progress was also mentioned, in which case the students understood that Kosovo has had an average economic growth of 7% in the last two years. The Prime Minister added that tax revenues have increased by 2/3 and foreign investments have doubled. Meanwhile, for the first time in Kosovo, exports are expected to reach the value of 1 billion euros.
During the discussion between Prime Minister Kurti and the students, the topic was also discussed about the latest developments in the country and the situation in the north of Kosovo.
At the end of this substantive meeting, the students had the opportunity to express their interest in various issues, while the prime minister expressed his readiness to answer questions that stem from their curiosity and interest.
