The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, welcomed and held a conversation with the students of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Pristina “Hasan Prishtina”, winners in three out of six categories of the international competition Inspireli EduProject Competition Croatia.
This is the first time that students from Kosovo participate in this competition in an institutionally organized manner as the University of Pristina with the invitation of the Inspireli Awards 2023 organizers.
Congratulating the fifth-year students of the Faculty of Architecture, who have been declared winners in three of the six categories of the international competition organized by the international platform for architecture Inspireli for the design of the tourist resort Miris Garden, in the location Stari Grad – Paklenica , located near the city of Zara, in Croatia, the prime minister said that these achievements make us all proud.
Under the mentorship of Prof. Rozafa Basha and Prof. Arta Xhambazi, the participating students from Kosovo, five girls and four boys, took first place in the commercial center design category, in the hotel design category and in the apartment design category.
During this conversation, the students also shared their experiences from this competition, their emotions as winners, and their plans for the future.
This year, students from 38 countries of the world participated in the competition with 163 projects. The evaluation jury has a total of 963 members from 126 countries of the world.
Winners of Inspirel competitions are given the opportunity to visit world-renowned architecture and design offices/firms. Finally, one of the past winners of the Inspireli competition has been hired by Zaha Hadid Architects in London, following an invitational visit to the firm. Participation in the competition automatically guarantees permanent membership on the platform and means the opportunity for free counseling and networking between students and universities.
