This afternoon, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku and the Deputy Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mentor Arifaj, welcomed the representatives and players of the club declared champion of Kosovo. of women’s handball “KHF Istogu”.
The Prime Minister congratulated them on the success achieved and the impressive results in winning the third title in a row as the champion of Kosovo, and the fourth in total. This season, the team from Istog also won the Kosovo Super Cup and played in the finals of the Kosovo Cup.
“You have achieved success against very powerful teams. We know that your successes are not only within Kosovo but also in the international arena and you have multiple titles and multiple cups, for which I congratulate you and wish you well.” said the prime minister during the meeting.
KHF Istog, as the champion of Kosovo, will compete in international competitions, specifically in the EHF European Cup, where a total of 64 teams from different European countries will participate. This will be their eighth consecutive participation in European competitions. Together with Istog, KHF Ferizaj and KHF Samadrexha will also participate in this competition, while their opposing teams will learn on July 16, after the draw in Vienna.
In conclusion, Prime Minister Kurti wished the club, the players, the management and management staff success, higher results and the best possible representation of our country in this sport in future European competitions, emphasizing the Government’s continued support for the sport as and handball.
