The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Liza Gashi, welcomed today at the government building the participants of the second edition of the International Forum “Ulpiana” organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, which is being held in Pristina from December 9-12.
During the conversation regarding the forum and the topics that the forum addresses, Prime Minister Kurti spoke about the importance of the diaspora for our country and highlighted some of the characteristics of our diaspora that make it an integral part of the country’s development. Among them, the high motivation and emotional connection with the country of origin, skills, expertise and network of contacts and collaborators, as well as the will and readiness to invest and contribute to the country in all areas, were highlighted.
He also informed the guests about the results of governance in the economic and democratic spheres, where the diaspora has also played an important role, and thanked the attendees for participating in the “Ulpiana” Forum, wishing them productive discussions throughout the sessions and presentations in these three days.
The “Ulpiana” Forum, as one of the most important international events in the country, aims to network political and institutional structures that work on creating innovative mechanisms for connecting and engaging the diaspora, as well as creating opportunities for networking of participants from different governments in the forum, with global political leaders, academic and diaspora organizations, as well as various industries. The second edition of this forum features participants and presentations from over 30 countries around the world and a wide range of profiles.
